Welcome to Clear Lake Boys Basketball

2015 SEASON

Week 7 of the CLBB season is in the books and we are down to the last week of the regular season.  Man – time flies when you are having fun.  Many spots are still to be determined for our Championship Week games.  Play continues to be very competitive and exciting.  Players and coaches are working very hard and the cheering from fans has been very loud.  Let’s remember that as fans we need to be supportive and positive to the other team and referee’s.  Ref’s are people too and may make mistakes or see plays a little different from their perspective….  The vast majority of referees used by CLBB are certified high school officials and have many years of experience calling high school varsity level games.

Championship Week is next week.  The Division VP’s will provide the seedings to coaches at the completion of this week’s games.  The week 9 schedule is posted and even if your team does not make it into the championship week games, come and root for all the players.  Our season ending playoff will start on Saturday March 2nd for most teams.  Again, the Division VP’s will provide the seedings to coaches.  All Stars for the Junior/Major and Senior Divisions will be announced at the Championship games for each division the week of March 9th.

We appreciate all constructive input on how to improve play, coaching, refereeing and the season.  This past week I have received two emails that will help us make the league better and I will read and respond to all emails.  If you have any questions, your division VP is in the gym during games and he/she can help or you can let me know and I will gladly receive and respond.

A couple of reminders for coaches - please remember that if you have the first game at a gym, to arrive no more than 15 minutes early to the game site.  We do not want to be in the gyms prior to our contracted start time.

Also, if you have the last practice in the gym, please remember to leave on time and make sure the gym is neat and orderly on your exit.

Parents - thank you for all your enthusiastic support of your team.  Please be positive in your encouragement, referees are people too and sometimes do make mistakes.  You all have done a great job of keeping siblings in the gyms and out of the halls of the schools.  Thank You!!.

We are updating the standings information and should have all the division standings posted this week.  If anyone has questions, please let your Division VP know or send an email to CLBBPRES2010@GMAIL.com
